Schools for India  promotes Cycling in India, as Schools for India identifies that promotion of cycling will enable the organization to have wider reach
across India in meeting its objectives. Many people in India, particularly in rural areas use cycle as a medium of transport; it shows the simplicity and
the determination of the people of India. To promote education and ensure that people of India, particularly in the villages get the same privileges as
its citizens in the cities.

We are providing the various methods by which the cycling sports would be promoted.

The cycling will be promoted using various methods to create awareness, so that people across the country will consider participating in it actively.

Reach:

The following key activities will be performed to the sport reach every district in India

Setting up of District Associations/Clubs:

Schools for India will set up district associations across the country in every district, where there are no associations currently and set up affiliated
clubs where there are existing associations. Schools for India will set up 604 district associations/clubs by 2010.

College and School Clubs:

Schools for India will identify schools and colleges across the country and enable them to set up Schools for India affiliated clubs in their premises.

Corporate Clubs:

Schools for India will work with major Fortune 500 companies in India and enable them to set up Cycling Clubs affiliated to Schools for India.

Events:

District Level Cycling events:

Schools for India will promote district level events for Amateur, School and College categories in all the districts.

National and International Events:

Schools for India will work with Cycling Federation of India in actively campaigning for more international events apart from the current events.

National Cycling Day:

Schools for India will work along with Cycling Federation of India in declaring a particular day of the year as the National Cycling Day.

We propose the 19th January as the National Cycling day.


Tie Ups:

Marketing/ Promotional Agencies:

Schools for India based on its past experience will tie up with Regional, National and International firms in getting the exposure needed for the game.

Schools for India will bring the partner who has wide experience in managing these events and promotions.

Direct Corporate Tie ups:

Schools for India will work with global corporate companies who will provide direct and consistent sponsorships for the events from district level to
national level.

Tie up with Health care providers:

Schools for India will associate cycling with disease prevention; particularly will work with diabetes prevention campaigns to make people with the
disease to take up cycling to get better physical health.

Souvenir Stores:

Schools for India will provide consultancy in setting up and managing the stores across the country in participation by major retail chains.

Revenue Generation:

Club revenue:

The membership fee from all the clubs, estimating around 600 clubs across the country providing Rs.1000 per year will bring the consistent revenue.

Souvenir Revenue:

Schools for India will manufacture through its rural self help groups the necessary souvenirs and sell it across India.

Corporate Sponsorship:

Schools for India will actively work with the marketing agency in broad basing the sponsorships, so that all the events including the district level get
sponsorships.

The sponsorship includes, for conducting the events, coaching sessions, support for team participations abroad, Coach Support etc.
